Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony To Unveil Crawford Electric’s New, Larger Facility

Dallas, Texas, February, 2009 - A ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 5th will mark the official grand opening of Crawford Electric Supply’s new expanded facility at 200 L & A Road in Metairie.  This new location will exceed 60,000 square feet, offer twice the counter space of their former Harahan facility and will have an expanded inventory to service the industrial segment and oil and gas industries along the Gulf Coast. 

Crawford Electric, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, opened their first Louisiana branch on February 28, 2008 in Harahan to help rebuild the area after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  They quickly became a leading distributor in the southeast, providing commercial and residential markets with quality service and electrical products at competitive prices.

The New Orleans branch stocks between $3-5 million in inventory and employs 26 people with the potential of adding an additional 15.
